Library Trip

I decided to pop to the library to see what books where available. I found a book called 'Boxed and Labelled 2'. Its full of a wide range for packaging for just about everything and has helped me to also decide what sort of style I'd like to go down and from the previous research I've done its helped a lot.

The chosen designs below I feel are all very natural and quite simple, and that is something I feel I'd like to take forward. Having a natural product is very important and gives the impression that something is of value and good for you.

1. This is for tea packaging. The different colours all help the buyer to see which one they have picked out as each tea has different colours corresponding to the flavour.

2. Below are 2 different cider companies and both have chosen the natural and homely hand made style. This style I'm very fond of, I love the stamping style not the Vi Novell cider. The information and pictures they have chosen are used through out all of there products, keeping it uniformed and helps the audience and buyer.

 3. These products are all organic and this is something that comes across in there packaging and branding. Today having this that are organic and good for us is very important and trying to stamp out this like battery farms has become very important to people in the last few years so having an organic product and making sure your packaging shows this is vital.

The products have go for a very minimalist look. Going for the minimal look sometimes means that information maybe missing and the audience my not understand what they are look at. But with this design in these products they have made sure that all the information that is needed is there.

2. I think these are so clever and a really good idea to package headphones. It makes it more interesting for the buyer and they have brought to back to the original and first view of music before its turned into something digital.

These designs I have chosen have used the more classical and old style design with having some words vertical and some horizontal and also some small imagery. I think this sort of style is my favourite. As it has a very clean finish and I feel it makes everything look more interesting and inviting.

These 5 different products on the 2 pages below show the very traditional style very clearly and helps to make the simple products there selling like pins, soap and white labels more exciting and interesting to the buyer.

I have also looked at the boxes and packaging its self as well as the design on the front. The way something is boxed is very important and now as days we are all trying to save the world from global warming in our own way, and packaging is a very wide area so making it more Eco and using less makes people feel better and it might also help .. you never know!
